Beit Berl Academic College is a multidisciplinary institution of higher education, located in the Sharon region, about 20 Km northeast of Tel Aviv. It is named in honor of Berl Katzenelson, a prominent intellectual and one of the founding fathers of the Labor movement in Israel.

The College was founded in the late 1940s as a school for activists of the Labor movement, which at that time was the leading political party in Israel. Since the early 1980s, however, its ties with the Labor movement were gradually dissolved, and from the early 1990s it became a fully independent academic college of education, accommodating all sectors of the Israeli population, academically accredited by the Council of Higher Education and budgeted by the Ministry of Education.

Today Beit Berl Academic College, with over 6,000 students, is one of the largest teacher education colleges in Israel. It is committed to excellence in education and to the values of social justice and equality, humanism, Jewish-Arab co-existence and multiculturalism.
