The annual art exhibit of the Dreammakers Course of Honors Program of the Machon taught by Marlene Erez took place Saturday, June 4, 2016 in Jisr A Zarka. Part of the project was initiated by Dr Ghannem Yacoubi in which he involved pupils from a junior high school in Jisr together with our 20 honor students in a picture taking day. The pictures they took together were one part of the exhibit, hanging on the walls of the community center in Jisr.
The other part of the exhibit consisted of 3 dimensional collages which were made out of students’ photos of Jisr and the Israel Museum, cut and designed to transform them into 3 dimensional objects that represent a real place and an imaginary place. These installations were put on tables and each student in gallery talks explained and answered questions in English, Hebrew and Arabic about their works.
