أيرين جرويل في بيت بيرل

استضاف قسم اللغة الانجليزية في المعهد الاكاديمي العربي وقسم اللغة الانجليزية في مدرسة التربية في كلية بيت بيرل يوم الثلاثاء الموافق 1/12/15 المعلمة المربية ايرن جرويل من الولايات المتحدة لتشارك الطلبة والمحاضرين العرب واليهود تجربتها الفريدة في التعليم ومشروعها المشهور باسم"Freedom Writers Diary" .كان هذا بالفعل لقاء ممتعا, ملهما ومفيدا جدا. استطاعت ايرن بأسلوبها الرائع ان تدمج جميع الحضور معها بأذهانهم ومشاعرهم. هكذا عبرت عن تأثرها احدى الطالبات المشتركات, عدن غنايم سنه ثانيه.

Watching a movie that concerns me directly like the movie "Freedom Writers" is beneficial for any future teacher. But can you imagine what happens if you meet the marvelous person who wrote the script in front of you? I think nothing is better. Tuesday was super special. I was looking forward to being there just to listen and see the inspirational Erin. She is more than great. Erin treats them just like sons and daughters. From the first meeting you fall in love with her enchanting personality.

In fact, when I went to speak with her after her talk, I just looked into her eyes, seeing much love and kindness. I was so honored and delighted that I had the golden opportunity to talk with her freely. I wanted to tell her how much I love and respect her. Those kinds of people are a limited edition. I hope one day we will reach this level of being able to be motivating and inspirational teachers as well.

I am sure after this extraordinary meeting many in the audience changed their way of thinking. I heard many people saying they're willing to make a change just like her. This indicates one thing, which is how successfully she could touch hearts and minds at the same time.

To end, I highly recommend those who desire to be good teachers to follow this statement which I can see Erin truly believe in:

"A teacher takes a hand, opens a mind and touches a heart."
