תחומי הוראה, מחקר ועשייה

ד"ר אלון לבקוביץ מומחה למדיניות חוץ וביטחון של מדינות מזרח אסיה, בדגש על חצי האי הקוריאני ויחסי החוץ שלו עם המזרח התיכון, לימודי דמוקרטיה ופוליטיקה ישראלית. קיבל דוקטורט מהחוג ליחסים בינלאומיים באוניברסיטה העברית שבירושלים. ערך מחקר על אסיה במסגרת לימודי הבתר דוקטורט שלו באוניברסיטת בריטיש קולומביה בוונקובר. עוסק במחקר והוראה של סוגיות בדמוקרטיה הישראלית והאסייתית. פרסם מחקרים על יחסי קוריאה הצפונית והדרומית עם המזרח התיכון ובחן בשיתוף פעולה עם חוקרים נוספים את הדמוקרטיה היפנית ואת ספרי הלימוד באזרחות בישראל.
