M.Ed Program in Learning Disabilities: Evaluation and Educational Intervention

During your studies, you will be trained to become outstanding professionals equipped with theoretical, research, and practical knowledge. You will be capable of leading teaching-learning processes in regular schools and of providing a tailored academic response for students with learning disabilities and attention disorders in the fields of reading, writing, and arithmetic and in the social and emotional spheres.

Graduates of the program acquire knowledge and skills enabling them to lead a process of mapping, evaluation, and educational intervention in a heterogenous class and to provide professional support for teachers and for regular schools that integrate students with learning disabilities and/or attention disorders. 

The studies lead to a master’s degree (M.Ed) in Learning Disabilities: Evaluation and Educational Intervention.

In addition to an M.Ed degree, graduates of the program are also entitled to a Learning Disabilities Evaluator and Facilitator’s certificate (“MATAL”), a position intended to supervise processes relating to the adaptation of teaching for students facing difficulties and their inclusion in schools. 

Who is the program intended for?
The program is intended for students with a bachelor’s degree in the following fields: special education, education and teaching, psychology, educational counseling, and paramedical professions, who hold a teaching certificate and have experience in educational and therapeutic work with children and youths with special needs. 

The Goals of the Program
  • To expand and deepen the students’ theoretical knowledge regarding the evaluation of students with various learning difficulties. 
  • To develop teachers’ expertise in systemic and individual educational intervention with students with learning disabilities and learning difficulties in the regular education system.
  • To develop investigative processes in these fields.
