  • ​Photobiology and ecophysiology of algae and corals
  • The acclimation of marine and freshwater phytoplankton, macroalgae and corals
  • Algal Biotechnology
  • Ocean warming and acidification effects on calcification of corals
  • Algae and gastropods
  • Biological aspects of archaeological research in collaboration. In these studies, we combine historical and archaeological findings with the Jewish traditions and religious rites. This accomplished by applying the tools of science (physics, chemistry, and biology) to recreate the material culture of ancient times
  • Characterization and identification of dyes in antique textiles
