Hillel Roman

Hillel Roman has a bachelor's degree with honors in literature from Tel Aviv University and an MFA in plastic arts from Goldsmiths College London. In his works, Roman deals with various aspects of the connection between the political order and the visual order, and focuses on making large-scale charcoal paintings and participatory public installations.

His works are in major collections, including the Israel Museum, the Tel Aviv Museum, the Petach Tikva Museum of Art, the Haaretz newspaper, Israel Discount Bank and more. Roman has won awards and scholarships, including the Art Encouragement Award, the Young Artist Award, the Mifal HaPais Grant, a stay at the Cité internationale des arts Paris, the Rabinovich Foundation and more.

Roman has exhibited in many exhibitions in Israel and abroad, in galleries and major museums, including the Tel Aviv Museum, the Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art, the Haifa Museum of Art, the Petach Tikva Museum of Art, MoBY- Bat-Yam Museums, the Dvir Gallery, the Sommer Gallery, and the Hezi-Cohen Gallery.
