Liat Elbling

Liat Elbling was born in Ramat Gan, 1980; Lives and works in Tel Aviv.
Graduated with honors from the Department of Photography, Minshar School of Art, Tel Aviv (2009).
She has presented solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions in Israel and around the world, including:
Ramat Gan Museum of Art (2011) / Tel Aviv Museum of Art (2011, 2017) / Haifa Museum of Art (2012) / Kasher Potamkin Gallery, New York (2014) / Julie M. Gallery, Tel Aviv (2015) / Artelli Gallery, Antwerp (2016) / Catherine Edelman Gallery, Chicago (2017) / Rosenfeld Gallery, Tel Aviv (2018), and more.

Winner of the Constantiner Photography Award for an Israeli Artist from the Tel Aviv Museum of Art (2011); The Sotheby's Hammer Choice Award (2013); Scholarship in the "Fellows" Program, Alma Home for Hebrew Culture College, Tel Aviv (2015-2013); and a grant from the Mifal HaPais Council for the Culture and Arts for supporting an artist's book (2018). In addition, she won the BijlmAIR artist residency scholarship, Amsterdam, The Netherlands (2013) and participated in the URRA artist residency program, Buenos Aires, Argentina (2016).

Since 2011 a lecturer in photography and art at the Faculty of Arts - Hamidrasha, Beit Berl College. Taught at various academic institutions, including the Department of Multidisciplinary Art, Shenkar College, Ramat Gan; Photography Department at Musrara – the Naggar School of Art and Society, Jerusalem; Minshar School of Art, Tel Aviv.

Her works are on display in museum collections, such as the Nelson-Atkins Collection, Kansas City; Ruth and Elmer Wellin Museum of Art, New York; Collection of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art; START Collection - Serge Tiroche; as well as in private collections.
